Disability Liaison Group – Disability Hate Crime

The next Disability Liaison Group will take place on 26th April, 11:30 – 5pm at Brandon Leisure Centre, Church Road, IP27 0JB and we will be looking at Disability Hate Crime and discrimination.  SCODP want to hear what you know about disability hate crime, how to report hate crime, where you would report to and what your experiences have been.  This is a forum for disabled people to come together to discuss and tackle issues of importance to you.  We welcome disabled people who have and who have not been victims of hate crime.  Come and help us look at how we should go forward with this issue.

We have an exciting programme planned.  The morning session is for disabled people and in the afternoon we will be joined by Suffolk Police and Victim Support to give you an opportunity to hear what these organisations are doing to support disabled victims of hate crime and for you to discuss with them what you feel would be helpful.  Booking is essential and a full programme and booking form is available here.  Alternatively call our office on 01473 557577 on a Wednesday or Friday morning to book by telephone.  If you call outside of those times, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
